Unlimited fun completely without a car – our lifts bring the Winter-sports guests directly from the village centre up to airy heights and the runs lead almost directly to the hotel doors. The free Ski buses run in the whole Skicircus and bring tired Skiers back to their starting point. From gentle Rookie Pistes, wide Carving slopes to flood-lit Funparks with obstacles, kickers and rails - everything is offered for carvers, new school-skiers and boarders in the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Skicircus.
NEW in the Skicircus: The Hochalm-chairlift will be replaced by a modern and fast 8-person-cable-car Carrier in Summer 2005. Kohlmaisgipfellift and Bergeralmlift will be replaced by 6-person-chair lifts with heated seats and bubbles. The new lifts will be opened at the beginning of winter 2005/06. Also the network of snow-making installations is extended and modernized in Summer 2005. Additionally the water reservoir at Gerstreitalm is renewed to keep the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang running also in times of limited natural snowfall.
Flood-lit slopes, Aprés Ski & Events: Sunset does not, however, mean that the skiing day is over! For those with strength still in their limbs they can continue in the Funparks on the flood–lit slopes, take part in the organised torch-lit walk or dance in the numerous bars in Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang!
Famous events like the Sport 2000 Winter Opening (8.-11. December) where one can test the newest Winter sport material to one’s hearts desire, Rave on Snow (16.-18. December) with pulsing rhythms in over nine locations changing the night to day for dancing party enthusiasts. The sporting highlights of the Winter are surely the FILA Sprint Euroskicup (10 and 11. December) and the International Touring Ski Marathon „Mountain Attack“ on the 13. January 2006.
